With visceral Cinematography by Canadian Teryl Brouillette, powerful Sound Design by UK's Jemma Cholawo and New Zealand's Helen Mountfort moving cello score, Swivel is a brave leap of faith, that moves to express the courage it takes, to explore sexuality and self with true equality, acceptance and compassion.

Swivel had its World Premiere at Queer North Canada 2019 and has since won over 30 outright Winner Awards and many more Award Nominations in nearly 100 film festivals!

Synopsis: With the darkness of night serving as an impromptu studio, award-winning cinematographer/photographer, Steve Gatlin, and polymath, Livia Wolfe use common public places and spaces, mixed with light, shadow, movement, and the bare human form to create a flash of beauty in the world around them.

“Flashes of Beauty: Livia,” is a short, intimate documentary co-produced by Livia Wolfe and Steve Gatlin. It features a collection of black and white, time-lapse photography captured with retro film cameras. In interview format, it explores the life of LGBTQ+ human rights activist, and transgender woman, Livia Wolfe. She’s also a TBI/mental health advocate, fashion week runway model, actress, producer, media/fashion coordinator, speechwriter, photographer, and personal celebrity chef.

For 19 years, Steve Gatlin has been creating photographs of nudes in a public nighttime landscape. The photographs and documentaries encompass, “The Beauty Project.” Everyone involved has volunteered to keep this ongoing project possible, which in-turn helps people to better define how we see beauty.

Each episode provides insight into personal stories, backgrounds, and lives lived… while never shying away from the fact that each of these people are not living with shame for their body. And they are preserving forever, the beauty of everyone! Come witness an evolution in beauty and the deconstruction of stereotypes. How do YOU define beauty?

Intrigued and curious by Cari's story and in order to understand her own traumas caused by the infection, Marina looks for her everywhere and, faced with the difficulty of finding her in a Cuba devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic, understands that the search is much more intimate than she initially thought.
